Rod Eric Johnson's Obituary
Rod Eric Johnson was born March 28, 1966 to the parentage of Buford Johnson, who preceded him in death, and Annie Johnson in Dallas, Texas. He received his formal education in the Dallas Independent School District. Rod had a humorous personality. He enjoyed cooking and grilling for the family and watching movies. He met and married Freda Denise Garner and to this union, two children were born. His memory will always be cherished in the hearts of his wife Freda Johnson, his daughters: Summer A Johnson and Raven B. Johnson; his grandchildren: Olyvia Collins and Noah Collins; mother: Annie Johnson; sisters: Rosie Williams (Gerald), Aretha Ann Johnson, Charlotte Meyers (Ollie), Arlisa Hayes (Carlton) and Amanda Earvin (Clarence); and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Visitation will be held 5:30-8p.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2017, at Restland’s Memorial Chapel. The funeral will also be held at Memorial Chapel on Friday, July 14, 2017, at 11 a.m., with entombment following the service in Chapel Garden Mausoleum, Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
