I worked for and with Rod for almost 12 years. He may have been the top man at DCC but he never made you feel like you were a low-man on the totempole. I remember him "yelling" at me after less than a year, but I will never forget what he said. He was like my dad trying to teach me a lesson. Every night I worked till dark, he always walked me out the door to my vehicle. His presence will be missed, but I will rejoice in a life well lived. Peace be with you Helin - you had a GENTLEman in your Rod. And to the rest of the Turnipseed family, peace to all of you, we lost a great man.
Wayne and I will miss Rod Turnipseed and we are blessed to have known him and his good family. Our Cindy grew up with his daughter Tami sharing in First Baptist Church youth activities. May our Heavenly Father bless Helin and Tami and their wonderful family.
