Roddy Cowan Simpson's Obituary
Roddy Cowan Simpson passed away on July 4th. Born in Tacoma Park, Maryland on May 27, 1943 was married to Joan Hassell Simpson. They married in Dallas on December 31, 1977, and had a wonderful 39 years together. Roddy joined the U.S. Air Force in 1963 and served his country in North Africa, Germany, and Vietnam. Mr. Simpson returned to Maryland and attended and graduated from Montgomery College with a degree in electronics. He moved to Dallas, married and owned his own company, Kirby Co. of Garland. Mr. Simpson was a devoted husband and step-father for Leslie Beddoes and Susan Scott and her husband Barry, his sister and brother-in-law Liz and Winky Turner and family, whom he loved very much. A son, Christopher and his children, Kylara, Madison, and Roddy Cole. His Aunt and Uncle, Norma and Dub Bailey, and several cousins. A graveside service is planned for 10 AM, Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Restland Memorial Park in the Garden of Trinity. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
