I graduated from SG with Scott all those years ago. All the positive memorable things, a long string of only the best adjectives described him back then and they describe him now. It seems like only yesterday that we were all back in Garland for a 10 year reunion. Scott was voted “least changed”. That surely described his youthful appearance but also the man and his personality— not at all jaded, dried out or embittered by the intervening years, still the same sweet kind and friendly guy we had known back when. All our love for strength and Lord’s unfailing love for the family now grieving

Scott and I started as co-workers but soon became very good friends. Ranger baseball games and Taos New Mexico we’re just a couple of his favorite stomping grounds. He was full of life and I am very fortunate to have known him.

Scott and I were colleagues at Lennox. He took me under his wing when I started work there and showed how things got done at R&D. We had adjacent office cubes and shared an IBM XT on a lazy susan. His industry and engineering knowledge was unsurpassed. He also had a social side that rivals many. He was always organizing several casual get-togethers as well as huge gatherings like Beachfest in Port of Aransas. We both had boats and went to several lake parties at Lewisville Lake’s Stewart Creek.

My deepest condolences to Scott’s family. I’m privileged to have been one of Scott’s many friends. One of the most honest, trustworthy, good-natured souls I’ve ever met. From college roommates at Texas A&M University through starting our engineering careers afterwards, Scott’s integrity, ingenuity, and love for family and friends made a lasting impression upon me. I will sorely miss him.
