Roger Duane Hahn's Obituary
ROGER DUANE HAHN
He was born in Shadyside, Ohio on October 16, 1932 and peacefully entered his heavenly home on June 15, 2024. He had two brothers and grew up in Arlington, VA where his parents worked at the Pentagon. He graduated from Washington Lee High School and joined the Air Force in 1951, serving in Germany. He studied Hotel and Hospitality Management at Bridgewater College and worked for Marriott In-Flite Services, starting as a Hot Shoppes manager in Miami, FL and ending as Vice President of Marketing when he retired in 1992.
Roger loved cooking for his loved ones and playing golf. He belonged to Prestonwood Baptist Church and Brookhaven Country Club for over four decades. Roger leaves behind daughters Gaye Hahn-Bynum and her husband Pete Bynum and Brenda Hahn Henderson and Marc Goebel, granddaughter Brooke Simkins and her husband Nic Simkins, great-grandchildren Madyson Janelle, Kenley Marie and Hayes, and many caring nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
He joins his wife, Shirley, his parents Lawrence and Marie, and brothers Tommy and Alan, who have passed away before him. The family is grateful to Winnie, Aubrena and others at Briarview Memory Care for their outstanding care during his Dementia.
We love you Dad, PopPop and we all rest in the thought of seeing you again soon.
We will celebrate his life with a Memorial Service on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 10:00am at Restland Wildwood Chapel, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
