Roger John Harris' Obituary
Roger John Harris passed away on October 20, 2015. He is survived by his four children Carol, Cynthia, Chaz, and John; his two daughters-in-law Peggi and Nenita; his eight grandchildren Adrienne, Erik, Kristin, Kathryn, Lauren, Brian, Hannah, and Natalie; his grand-daughter-in-law Vicky; and his great-granddaughters Xyla and Jasmine. Roger was born in Dearborn, Michigan on December 3, 1929. He served four years in the US Army in the Army Security Agency in Tokyo, Japan, obtaining the rank of Sergeant. There he met his future wife of 62 years, Betty Woodward, and they were married in Tokyo in 1951. In 1952, he and Betty returned to the United States. The family moved to Dallas, Texas in 1962. He worked for over 60 years as a successful salesman in the automobile and insurance industries. Roger was much loved by his family and friends, and will be greatly missed. A private memorial is planned for the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
