Roger Allen Row's Obituary
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Kathleen Row, and sister Lynda Spier.
He is survived by his wife Janelle, daughters Rebecca Medley and Rachel Saunders and her husband Scott, granddaughters Mia and Zoey, sister Sandy Valliere and her husband Ralph, brother Lynn Row, stepson Steven Wawrzonek, and wife Kari. His family was his pride and joy.
Roger was born in Denton, Texas but grew up in Fort Worth, Texas where he loved spending time with his cousins and grandparents. He loved to square dance and show off his smooth dancing skills while part of a talented square dance community. After serving in the Air Force, he earned his business degree from TCU where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. He also served as an Air Policeman working with sentry dogs in Vietnam. His dog's name was Pete.
He worked as a sales rep for over 20 years and had a wealth of knowledge of all the small towns around North and Central Texas. Driving was where Roger felt most free. He spent his retirement years driving a school bus for special needs children.
Roger's love for Christ was demonstrated through his involvement in the Prestonwood choir and serving in various missions and ministries. Roger never met a stranger, and his heart was bigger than the ocean. We are confident that heaven gained a true gentleman, and he is singing praises forevermore.
Roger's Favorite Things were time with his daughters and granddaughters, his wife, and worshipping the Lord through song as a member of the Prestonwood choir. Roger loved camping, fishing, the rodeo, and square dancing. Among his many hobbies, he also loved the TCU Horned Frogs (go Frogs), western movies, long drives, cruising with his loved ones, and traveling. Roger so enjoyed indulging in Snickers, orange Hostess Cupcakes, Whataburger, Mexican-Inn restaurant, and Hutchins BBQ.
