Roman Gutierrez's Obituary
Roman Z. Gutierrez of Dallas, Texas, Age 95, died June 7, 2017. He was born to Paula Zapata and Braulio Gutierrez on March 22, 1922, in Moore, Texas. He was married on November 7, 1953, to the love of his life, Juanita Moreno in Dallas, Texas. They were married for 63 years. He so loved Juanita and took great care of her. He worked for the City of Dallas in the Water Department for 31 wonderful years. He was very proud of his job with the City and always taught his children to value their jobs. He was a member of St. Edward’s Catholic Church where he served as an Usher for many years. He loved his Church community and they loved him. He is survived by his wife, Juanita Gutierrez of Dallas Texas, daughter, Jeannie Anguiano of Dallas Texas and son in law Mike; sons: Roman Gutierrez and fiance Rita, David Gutierrez and Richard Gutierrez, all of Dallas Texas; grandchildren: Roman Gutierrez, III, Louis Gutierrez, David Gutierrez, Gabriel Gutierrez, Stephanie Gutierrez, Leah Olguin, Jonathan Gutierrez, Michelle Villanueva, Selina Delgado, Michael Anguiano and Abraham Anguiano and 11 Great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, brother in laws, sister in laws and friends whom he loved dearly. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, with a Rosary starting at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass for Roman will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at 9:00 AM at St Edward Catholic Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
