Ronald George Beck's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that I announce the death of my loving husband of 57 years, Ronald (Ron) George Beck-Age 86, of Mesquite, Texas. God called him home Monday, January 17, 2022. He was the son of the late Lillian and Thomas Beck. He was born June 9, 1935 in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada. Besides his wife, Joan (Wentzell) Beck, he is also survived by Sister: Barbara Spindler of Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia; Brother: Ross (Patricia) Beck of Halifax, Nova Scotia; Nephews: Thomas (Sharon) Spindler; Christopher (Lisa) Beck; Michael (Dana) Beck; Niece: Ann-Marie (Alan) Creaser.
Also Survived by great nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Predeceased by brother Wayne and sister Jean Crouse Stevens.
Ron & Joan moved to Texas in 1965 and became American Citizens in 1989.
He was a man of deep faith, sincerity, kindness, quiet, and loving. At a young age, he went to sea on fishing vessels with his dad. He sailed on merchant marine tankers with Imperial Oil for thirteen years.
Ron Retired from Williams & Davis Boiler Manufactures, Hutchins, TX. after 35 years of service.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, February 12. at 2:00PM (Texas time) at New Convenant Presbyterian Church, 2525 N. Buckner Blvd., Dallas, TX 75228 with the Rev. Dr. Paul A. Brown officiating. The service will be streamed live and can also be viewed later. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New Convenant Presbyterian Church at the address shown above, or charity of choice.
Burial and grave-side service is planned for the summer at St. Matthew's Cemetery, Upper Lahave, Nova Scotia.
