Ron was a friend of my Husband. I met him on a beautiful fall evening in South Dallas at Sankofa's. Jeff and I were newly married, and Ron invited us to come and hear him read some of his poetry from his new book, Quiet Evolution. My Husband said Ron gave him some of the best advice to navigate life as a young black man. We are so sorry to hear that he has passed.
