Ronald G. German's Obituary
Ron was born on October 22, 1945 at Florence Nightingale Hospital in Dallas, Texas, to parents Bernard German and Grace Gretell Agatha Bruner.
He graduated in 1963 from Bryan Adams High School in Dallas, Texas. Ron enlisted in the Army in 1969 and served in the 196th Infantry Division Brigade, A Company. While serving in the Vietnam War, he received many medals and was honorably discharged in 1971. Ron attended the University of Texas, Arlington where he received his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and graduated with honors in 1978. After college, Ron received his Professional Engineer license and opened his own business as an HVAC engineer and consultant in the DFW metroplex. He ran a successful business for many years until retirement.
Ron married Linda Carol Rowell and they had one son, Robert Glenn German. Ron later met the love of his life, Deborah Louise Sisemore German. They married on May 28, 1977 and he gained a step daughter, Jennifer Rebecca Bruner.
Ron enjoyed playing the piano. He was an avid collector of many things: Toby mugs, trains, coins, and stamps to name a few. He loved Fuji apples, Spanish peanuts, and his mother-in-law's peach cobbler. Ron brought so much insight and fun to the family game night get-togethers. Ron was a member and greeter at South Garland Baptist Church.
Ron is survived by his mother, Gretell German; step daughter, Jennifer Esquivel (Andrew Esquivel); grandchildren, Andrea Louise Esquivel, Nick Martin Esquivel (Alexis Snelson), Melinda Lynn Esquivel and Cynthia Rebecca Esquivel (Triston Carlock); and great-grandchildren, Roman Marley Gazetti, Gabriel Dion Newman, Jordan Dion Newman, Malach Dion Newman, Alycia Freedom Esquivel, Sonja Lynn Sides and Luna June Carlock.
