Ronald Wayne Mitchell, age 83, a long-time resident of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2025, at Sonoma House in Carrollton, Texas, in accordance with his wishes, a memorial service will be held in his honor at his home in Frisco, Texas, where friends and family will gather to celebrate his life. Born on May 8, 1941, in Dallas, Texas, Ronald was the son of Clarence and Edith Mitchell. He was survived by his devoted lifelong partner of 55 years, Donald B. Coan, whose love and companionship he cherished deeply.
Ronald had a distinguished career at LTV Aerospace in Grand Prairie, Texas, where he worked for several years. Beyond his professional life, Ron was a man of many interests. He found great joy in attending exercise classes, staying active, and exploring the world through travel. One of his favorite destinations was Paris, France, where he enjoyed the culture, history, and vibrant atmosphere of the city.
Known for his kind and gentle nature, Ron was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. His warmth, generosity, and sense of humor touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone who had the honor of crossing his path. Ron's memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his legacy of kindness, integrity, and love will continue to inspire all who remember him.
