Ronald Patrick Windham's Obituary
“Ronnie/Ron” Ronald P. Windham went to his eternal rest on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at the age of 71. He was surrounded by his family at Oxford Glen Memory Care of Sachse where he lived the past six years. Ronnie was born at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX on July 1, 1951. He was preceded in death by his Father Jerry W. Windham, his Mother Mary “Lucy” Burt Windham, and brothers Gary Don and Joseph Windham, all of Garland.
Ron is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Clyde & Carol Windham of Heath, TX, daughter Kimberly Wright of Garland, TX, son Cristopher Whitaker of Greenville, TX, grandsons Braden Wright of Garland, TX and Jaxson Whitaker of Greenville, TX and granddaughter Jade Wright of Arlington, TX and Ryleigh Whitaker of Greenville, TX.
He attended schools in Garland, TX and graduated from Garland High School in 1969. Ron went to college at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX graduating in 1973 with a BBA in Business Administration. He worked as an accountant after college and ended his work career as a grocery store manager.
Ronnie grew up in an active family atmosphere hunting and fishing with his brothers and other family and friends. He enjoyed sports and supported the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys. He had a “Hole in One” plaque mounted next to his three deer heads in his game room in Rowlett. Many games of pinball and ping pong were enjoyed with his kids and other family members while listening to the jukebox. Music was a family focus during holidays in Justin, TX and Eunice, New Mexico with lots of singing and guitar playing. He did a mean Elvis interpretation.

A celebration of his life begins with visitation at Restland Memorial Chapel on Sunday, August 14, 2022, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services with burial are Monday, August 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. also at Restland Memorial Chapel, in Dallas, TX.
