Ronnie "R.J" Joe Harper's Obituary
Ronnie Joe “RJ” Harper, 62, of Irving, Texas passed away July 31, 2017 in Dallas, Texas. He was born September 14, 1954 to Luther Harper and Evelyn Williams in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. RJ is proceeded in death by his father, Luther Harper; his Grandmother Batt; brothers, Roger and Lee Harper; and his beloved dog Holly. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his dear wife, Candy Jill Harper; his mother, Evelyn Williams; one sister, Sharon Harper; three brothers, Charlie Williams, Jack Harper, and David Dodson; uncle, Ferrell Harper; numerous nephews and nieces; best friend of more than 50 years, Reggie Calhoun; and his four-legged girl Abbey. RJ married Candy Brown on October 21, 2000 in Dallas, Texas. He was a certified plumber and a “jack of all trades”. He was a Cherokee. Most of all, he was the life of the party. He never met a stranger. He loved life, spoke his mind and was always “The Rock” for many of his friends, but most importantly for his wife, Candy. The service for RJ will be on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 12:30 pm in the Wildwood Chapel located at Restland Memorial Park. There will be no procession to cemetery following the service and the service will conclude at the Wildwood Chapel. The family will receive friends at Restland Funeral Home in staterooms A-B Friday evening, August 4, 2017 from 6:30-8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to his memorial.
