Rosa B. Espinoza's Obituary
Rosa Benevidez Espinoza, a cherished member of our community, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024 in Flowermound, TX. Born in Austin, TX, to Cruz and Concepcion Benevidez (Guajardo), Rosa lived a life full of love, dedication, and resilience.
Rosa is survived by her children: Cruz Torres (Christina), Jean Michael Villagran (Ella), Abel Villagran (Sandy), and was preceded in death by her stepson, John Elias Villagran. She was also a loving mother to her four daughters: Rosie Martinez (Jesse), Irma Sanchez (Raymond), Yolanda Torres, and her stepdaughter, Mary Hubbard (Ed).
Rosa was a beloved sister to her three brothers, Cruz, Elias, and Luis Benevidez (all deceased), and her six sisters: Margaret Salazer, Martha Perales (deceased), Juanita Cason, Concepcion (deceased), Casilda Madina, and Irene del Real.
Rosa is preceded in death by her beloved husband, who she will lay to rest with, Santana Espinoza. Rosa was a talented self-employed hairdresser for over 20 years, a career she found much joy and fulfillment in.
Her legacy continues through her 15 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews & friends, who will always remember her warmth, kindness, and unwavering support.
Rosa’s life was a testament to the power of family and community, as she was a particularly well known figure in Little Mexico here in Dallas, TX near the downtown area where she grew up. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of her loved ones.
Rosa’s memory will forever be a blessing to her family and friends Services will be held for Rosa at Restland Funeral Home's Memorial Chapel on October 8, 2024 with a visitation from 9:30am-10:30am, and the Funeral Service to begin at 10:30am-11:30am. Rosa will be taken to her final resting place in Restland Memorial Park immediately following the service.
