Rosa Lee Grissom's Obituary
Grissom, Rosa Lee Boothe, age 93, a lifetime resident of North Texas, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2011 at home. She was born on September 15, 1917 in Reinhardt, Texas to her parents, John and Dorcas. Rosa was the eldest of 7. She married Corbett in Dallas, TX on October 3, 1940. They had 2 children. She was employed by Texas Instruments for 26 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and loved children. Rosa is survived by her daughter, Mary Dreer and husband, Ron; 3 grandchildren, LeAnne Davis and husband, Michael, Sandra Dreer and Jeffrey Dreer; and 3 great-grandchildren, Justin Davis and wife, Amanda, Mara VanSchuyver and Kayle VanSchuyver. She also leaves behind sisters Annie, Ola, Kate, Elizabeth and Doris and sister-in-law, Emogene, along with other family and friends. She reunites in Heaven with her husband, Corbett, her daughter, Nettie Ann, along with brothers John and Woodrow, brothers-in-law Irving, Kenneth, Reagan and sister-in-law, Cecil. Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of life for Rosa at the graveside at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 10 at Restland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the North Texas Food Bank or World Vision.
