Rosa Lea Toldan's Obituary
TOLDAN, ROSA LEA COBB was born December 31, 1937 in Laird Hill, TX to the late Townsend and Lillian Cobb. After an 11 year battle, which began with cancer, Rosa Toldan passed away in her home surrounded by her immediate family. Rosa grew up in East Texas and graduated from Kilgore High School in 1956. She married the love of her life Leo Toldan in 1958 where they made their home in Mesquite. Their beloved daughter, Melissa was born in 1965 and completed their family. Rosa and Leo were married until his passing in 1988. Rosa’s life was spent loving her family and volunteering to help those in need and contributing to her community. After retiring from the insurance industry in 2001, she enjoyed countless traveling adventures with family and friends who were near and dear to her heart. Rosa was blessed with two amazing nieces, Rhonda Thompson, RN and Vicki Harris, RN who allowed her last months at home to be comfortable with constant care at a level that was beyond measure. Melissa and the entire Cobb/Toldan family are deeply touched by this selfless gift. She is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law Melissa Toldan Mills and John Mills, her brother Wayne Cobb, sisters Evelyn Foss and Carolyn Lavender and adored sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and her treasured nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, August 11, 2014 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
