Rose Cantrell's Obituary
Rose (Thomas) Cantrell was born in Hopkins County, Texas on May 14, 1932 to Coleman and Ora (Nelson) Woodard and passed from this life on April 21, 2025. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband of 20 years, James H. Thomas Jr., an infant brother, her sister Pansy McWilliams and her husband of 42 years, Bobby (Dick) Cantrell. She was a retired CPA and took pride in passing the CPA exam in one sitting after obtaining the necessary college hours after her first husband’s death (1972). She took great pride in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved them dearly.
She is survived by her son: Jim Thomas (Kathy), her daughter Gail Erger (Robert), stepchildren: Vicki Cantrell, Danny Cantrell (Debbie), Carl Cantrell (Lupe), grandchildren: Sara Lee (Steve), Kristin Thomas (Jason Fickman), Shannon Hunter (Zach), Rob Erger (Erin), Jamer Erger (Samantha), Megan Schuff (Rickey), Sean Pierce, Deanna Pierce and Carlee Cantrell, great grandchildren: Addison Munsterman, Wyatt Munsterman, Brandon Lee, Robby Erger, John Henry Erger, Emma Rose Erger, Malachi Erger, Demi Erger, Micah Erger, Berkley Hunter, Montgomery Schuff and Shelby Schuff,
She is also survived by brothers Roy Woodard and Gerald Woodard and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 in Restland's Wildwood Chapel followed by burial at Restland Memorial Park 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, Texas.
