Rose Marie Bourgeois' Obituary
Rose Marie Burgr Ledgerwood Griggs Bourgeois passed away peacefully September 12, 2016 in her home in Aledo following a courageous fight with congestive heart failure surrounded by family. She was born March 20, 1922 to Emil and Mary Burgr, a Catholic farm family,in Wagner, SD. She was a Life member of the VFW Auxiliary Post 6796 in Garland,Texas where she loved to dance well into her 90”s. She enjoyed traveling and gardening. Preceded in death by her parents, husbands Harold Ledgerwood, Robert Griggs and Russel Bourgeois, Sister Emeline Burgr Fulmer and Dorthy Burgr. Survived by Brother Ladimer Burgr of Rapid City, SD; sister Clara Parker of Houston, Texas; sons, Curtis, Steven and Gary Ledgerwood; 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great –great grandchild; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Graveside service and interment by Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas officiated by David Garcia, Vitas Hospice Chaplin at 2:00pm on Thursday September 15,2016. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that any donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children or VFW 6796.
