Rose Marie O'Malley Wellott's Obituary
Rose Marie O’Malley Wellott was born on July 1, 1929 in Scammon, Kansas and passed away on November 8, 2016 in Bonham, Texas. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Bob; and son, Shawn. She is survived by a sister, Billie Horine; daughters Mary (Gary), Jodi, and Kathy; sons Bryan (Gigi), and Bobby (Linda); and many grandkids, great-grandkids, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and wonderful friends. Rosie was a beautiful woman who came to Dallas from a small Kansas town in the late nineteen fifties. She met the love of her life, Bob, married and they eventually settled in Richardson. They were married for over 45 years and spent most of their time raising 6 rambunctious kids, and helping with the many grandkids. She was a great mother, grandmother, and good friend who loved deeply, and enjoyed life. She passed quietly last week to join her husband and son to be with the Lord Jesus Christ. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 14, from 6-8 pm at Restland Funeral Home. And, a funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 15, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Richardson at 10:00AM. Immediately following the burial at Restland, a reception will be held at St. Paul’s Parish Center. In lieu of flowers, we ask that memorials be made to the St. Bridget’s Cemetery Corp. in Scammon, Kansas; or to Alzheimer’s Research.
