Rose L. Rizzo's Obituary
RIZZO, ROSE L., age 92 died surrounded by family members April 11, 2014. Born, March 28, 1922, to Albert and Rose DaCosse in Chicago Illinois. November 4, 1939 she married Ralph Rizzo. As one of the original telephone operators, she worked for Ma Bell’s AT & T until retirement. Rose had a very active life enjoying friends, family, and travel. Never one with idle hands always had a knack for arts and crafts. Working in many mediums, ceramics, knitting, crochet, quilting were among her favorites. In favor of a milder climate she and Ralph relocated to Richardson, Texas. Continuing an active lifestyle, as a senior herself she drove a bus of senior citizens to get them to their daily activities. In 2002, she relocated to Mesa, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Rose DaCosse, husband Ralph Rizzo, brother John DaCosse, and sister Virginia Ferroli. She is survived by her brother Albert DaCosse (Claudette) of Holiday Island, AR; her children Rosemarie Andersen (George) of Fountain Hills AZ, Diane Cudzilo of Fountain Hills, AZ, Ralph Rizzo (Carol) of Richardson, Texas, Evelyn Tenteris (David) of Gold Canyon AZ; her grandchildren Catherine Rousseau (Mark), Michelle Andersen, Veronica Giblin (Sean), Michael Tenteris (Elizabeth), Brandon Hobon (Rebecca), James Hobon (Candice); nine great grandchildren, Michael, Brighid, Fiona, Andrew, Cassidy, Chase, Grant, Isabel, Brendan. Services will be held at 12:30 PM on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Restland Wildwood Chapel with visitation 1 hour prior to the service in the chapel. Romans 8:38-39 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
