Rose Podrouzek Scott's Obituary
SCOTT, ROSE PODROUZEK was born April 1, 1926 to Frank and Anna (Miklis) Podrouzek in Ennis, Texas. Rose was a loving wife, devoted mother and a cherished grandmother. A 1944 graduate of Ennis High School, she moved to Dallas, Texas, and attended Draughons Business College. In December of 1945 she married Randolph V. Scott. They enjoyed over 65 loving, happy years of togetherness. Rose belonged to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, the St. Thomas Aquinas Altar Society and was a 50 year member of the SPJST Lodge #84 where she served as the reporter for many years. Survivors include her husband, Randolph; one son, Kenneth and wife Dona; one daughter, Anne Cowan and husband, Steve; one grandson, Scott Cowan and one granddaughter, Elisabeth Cowan; step-granddaughter, Sonja Grube and husband, Eddie and their two children, Kayley and Zachary. She will also be remembered by a host of relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2011, in the Abbey Chapel, located in Restland Cemetery. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, with Father John Libone officiating.
