My heartfelt condolences on the passing of our dear friend, Rose. My mom, Veronica, and Rose were great friends when they were single and reconnected in their retirement. My mom, who just passed this weekend, was often asking about Rose, and it's a comfort to imagine them catching up as I write this.
I'm so grateful for the good visits they shared in recent years. They loved reminiscing about their younger days. During those conversations, Rose always spoke with such joy and pride about her children and their children. She truly knew how to celebrate life.
I have a wonderful picture of their reunion, where they are holding a photo of their younger selves at Columbia University—a testament to their enduring friendship and shared history.
