Roseann Reece's Obituary
Roseann Manenti Reece
March 23, 1931 – December 24, 2025
Roseann Manenti Reece, a vibrant spirit and loving matriarch, passed away peacefully in Plano, Texas, on Christmas Eve, 2025. She was 94 years old.
Roseann was born on March 23, 1931, in New York City of Sicilian decent. In her professional life, she spent many years working alongside her beloved late husband, John, in the gift industry with a showroom at the Dallas Trade Mart. Following that chapter, she dedicated nearly 30 years to Richland College, where she served in the admissions department.
Roseann was truly "one of a kind" and never liked to stay idle. For 63 years, she was a deeply involved resident of Lake Highlands. Her passions were as varied as they were impactful. She was an esteemed member of the North Dallas Garden Club where she was also a Master Horticulturalist and Judge. She also enjoyed the intellectual fellowship of a local Liberal Arts group. Roseann spent many happy years at the bridge table. However, her true competitive fire came out on Sundays; a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, her family will dearly miss the sound of her shouting, "Sack 'em!" at the television every season.
Above all her achievements, Roseann’s greatest pride was her family. She was a devoted grandmother and was especially delighted by her role as a great-grandmother.
She is survived by her son, Doug Reece, and his wife, Mary, of Plano. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: John Edward Reece II and his wife, Katie; and Maggie Goin and her husband, Mac. She was the adored "G" to three great-grandchildren: Reece, Charley Kate, and Graham.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Roseann’s long and beautiful life at Restland Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.
