Rosemary Carona's Obituary
Rosemary was born in Dallas on June 7, 1921 and passed away on June 29, 2015. She was preceded in death by Walter Carona, her husband of 64 years; parents Charles B. and Ethel Klapp; sisters Sharlyne Burgess, Alice Jo Hardy, and Ann Holman. She is survived by her children Charles Carona (Suzette), Martha Lammers (Dave), Rosemary Moore (Terry); her brother, Don Klapp; grandchildren Grant Carona (Marisa), Meredith Claudio (Josh), Garrett Moore, Kurt Lammers, and Carrie Rose Lammers; great grandsons Bennett Claudio and baby Carona who will arrive next month, 16 nieces and nephews. Rosemary lived her entire life in Dallas and always very proud of that fact. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. Rosemary played on one of the first church softball teams in Dallas and a proud member of the East Dallas Baptist Soul Winners along with her three sisters. She and Walter were charter members of Northlake Baptist Church in the Lake Highlands area. She was one of the founding members of the PTAs at Lake Highlands Elementary, Wallace Elementary, Lake Highlands Jr High and Lake Highlands High School. She and Walter attended all of their children’s and grandchildren’s athletic activities, band concerts, dance recitals and piano recitals. Visitation is Thursday, July 2 at 10:00 a.m. followed by service at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, Dallas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northlake Baptist Church, 10110 McCree Rd, Dallas 75238. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
