Rosemary Jacobs Ligon's Obituary
Rosemary Jacobs Ligon, passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on November 27, 2025, in Del Norte, Colorado. Born on June 22, 1949, in Dallas, Texas, she was a beacon of light and a source of boundless love to all who knew her.
Rosemary's journey began as the cherished daughter of Lovic and Mary (Amorella) Jacobs, whose guiding hands shaped her into the extraordinary woman she became. Though she faced the loss of her parents and brothers, Lewis and Robert Jacobs, before her passing, their influence and love remained a cornerstone of her strength.
Her loving spirit will be carried on by her beloved spouse, William "Rusty" Ligon of Del Norte, and her devoted son Douglas Ligon of Fort Worth, TX. Rosemary's joy was multiplied with the time spent with her grandchildren, Dillon and Lauren Ligon, and great-grandson Dean Ligon. Her sister, Margaret Jacobs of Sunnyvale, TX, together with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, also survives her. They will continue to honor her legacy by passing on the kindness she embodied.
An alumnus of the University of Texas, Rosemary's support for the Texas Longhorns was unwavering much like her faith, which she nurtured and shared with her Gateway Baptist Church community in Del Norte, CO. She proved her commitment to service through her extensive career as a Registered Nurse, where her compassion touched the lives of countless individuals for over three decades.
Rosemary's exuberant nature was apparent in her love for family gatherings, which she often infused with the same warmth and care that marked her professional life. Her adventurous spirit led her on many hikes and skiing trips, embracing the beauty of nature that she so loved.
Rosemary’s services will be held in Dallas, Texas with burial following at the Restland Cemetery near Dallas.
