Roxanne Skeen's Obituary
Roxanne Skeen was born on September 20, 1944 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Glenn and Dorothy Quillin Hart and passed away on May 30, 2020 in Tyler, Texas. “Memaw” was married to the love of her life, Albert Skeen Jr. on February 2, 1968 at the First United Methodist Church of Overton, where following their marriage, they remained as members until her passing. She enjoyed cooking, riding their land and checking their cattle with Albert as well as Native American Art works. Perhaps her biggest enjoyment in life however was simply loving her family. Her love of spending time with and taking care of her family and husband and even more so loving and spending time with their four beautiful grandchildren was unparalleled. A friendship that spanned over 45 years with her best friend Debbie Vestal was just as important in her life as well. Anyone that knew Memaw, loved her and she will be dearly missed by all.
Memaw is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Albert Skeen Jr. of Overton, Texas; Daughter, Donanne Ducksworth and her husband Sam of McKinney, Texas; Grandson, Damien Ducksworth of McKinney, Texas; Son, Tres Skeen of Overton, Texas; Granddaughter Krista Setzler and her husband Ross of Tyler, Texas; Grandson Kody Skeen of Gainesville, Texas; Daughter Mandy Tarkington and her husband Neal of Overton, Texas; and Granddaughter Montana Tarkington of Overton, Texas.
A celebration of life may be scheduled for a later date in time.
