Roy Wesley Beaver's Obituary
Roy Wesley Beaver passed away at the age of 72 on January 15, 2018 in Irving, Texas. Roy was born on October 4, 1945 in Dallas, Texas. He is survived by Sandy Bell Beaver, his wife. His children Jeremy Alan Beaver (Vickie) and Ryane Wesley (Beaver) Dobbinson (Roger), Sheryl Pettigrew-Allen (Jason) and Staci Land. His grandchildren Jayden Land, Tyler Alan Beaver, Austin James Dobbinson. Siblings James Franklin Beaver, Becky Ann Beaver, Vickie Wardrep, Tim Shaver, Steve Melton and Mark Melton. He retired in June 2017 from Gerdau Steel in Midlothian in the Procurement Department. His professional career spanned 40 years working for leading manufacturers such as LTV, Vought, Bell Helicopter and MCI. Roy enjoyed working on the farm as a boy, swimming and life guarding. His passions included cars, motorcycles, riding and vacationing on the beach anywhere. Roy was also a licensed pilot. He graduated East Texas State University now known as Texas A & M Commerce as a life long Sigma Chi in 1969.He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence Wesley (Bud) Beaver Jr., Margrette (Baldwin) Redding and Roy Shaver.Memorial service will be on Friday, January 19 at 10:30 AM at Spring Valley United Methodist Church.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243.
