Roy Dean Curry's Obituary
Roy Dean Curry, 76, passed away March 30, 2020 in Sunnyvale, TX. He was born January 28, 1944 to parents Ed Curry and Iris Curry in Paris, TX. The family would moved to Mesquite, TX where he would go on to graduate from Mesquite High School. He was called into service to his country through the U.S. Army and would serve in Germany during the Vietnam conflict. After receiving an honorable discharge, Roy returned to Mesquite and got a job at the U.S. Postal Service. He would meet the love of his life Reena Morris, they would marry, and eventually have one son. Roy grew tired of the Post Office job and would leave that position to go and work for Wal-Mart. He would spend over 20 years working for Wal-Mart in various positions and eventually retire in 2013. During his retirement, Roy enjoyed riding his motorcycle, walking, riding his bicycle, working in his yard, fishing, talking to neighbors, spending time with his family, and being active in his church. Roy is preceded in death by his wife, two brothers, and one sister. He is survived by two brothers, one sister, and his son.
