Roy Lee May's Obituary
Roy Lee May, 80, of Garland died Thursday, May 7. His life will be celebrated at visitation Monday from 5-7 pm at Restland Funeral Home and at his service at 2 pm Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Garland. He leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Shirley; sister and brother-n-law, Ethel and Frank Johns; numerous brothers and sisters from the Corsicana State Orphanage; son and daughter-in-law, David and Debbie May; granddaughters, Amanda, Alli, Ana and Abbey; their families including his 8 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and their children. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sabrina May; and brother, Eugene May. Roy served in the U.S. Army, graduated from Dallas Banker’s School, and worked at the Dallas Clearinghouse for 30 years before retiring as the Executive Director. He also served a deacon at First Baptist Church in Garland where he was a member for over 40 years.
