Roy P. Long's Obituary
Roy Long passed away on May 3rd, 2016 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 76. Roy was born in Sugarland, Texas, but resided in Richardson, Texas for 43 years. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lynda Long of Richardson; children, Laura Long-Edwards and her husband Greg of Arlington, Texas; Susan Collier of Fort Worth, Texas; Sharon Bentley and her husband John of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, Robert Long and his wife Brenda of Texas City, Texas; grandchildren, Chase Patton, Cody, Ashlee, and Dylan Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews. Roy graduated from Sam Houston State University where he then served in the Army for two years as an Officer. He was also an active member of the Dallas Chapter Sigma Chi Alumni. Funeral Services will take place at 3:00 pm on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service in the chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
