so much love for this whole family! what fun we had with our families growing up together. i treasure you every one, and look forward to telling great stories and remembering great times in eternity with our dear Lord and your dear daddy/hubby. i met rusty just after he had graduated from high school. we were in a folk singing group that summer. and then years later when i came to UNT, there were rusty and annie and the precious saints in the church in denton. i will thank the Lord for eternity!

I shared some fond memories of Rusty and the Powell household from the early years when my wife Janice was one of several young sisters in the Lord who were residing with the Powell family when we were coming into fellowship with the church in Dallas, but I don’t see that it has been posted. Perhaps it was too lengthy! Be that as it may, please know that Janice and I owe a debt of gratitude to Rusty and Annie and the children for opening their hearts and their home to others. Our love for you all has never faded, and we look forward to that day when we can once again celebrate in the Lord’s presence! ❤️

I am so sad to hear this. What a blessing this dear family was to me in my early days in the church life in Dallas. I love them all dearly. May grace and peace be with them all during this time.
