Royalle Arthur Streck's Obituary
STRECK, ROYALLE (ROY), Ret. Major, United States Army, born in Menasha, WI on November 4, 1923 and passed away on April 17, 2007. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942 and served in the 511th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 11th Airborne Division. He was awarded the Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts during the liberation of the Philippine Islands. He served his country for 20 years before retiring. He is survived by his wife, Emily, his best friend and soulmate for 48 years; sons, Steven Streck & wife Mary Ellen and Kurt Streck & wife Jamie. He also leaves 2 granddaughters, Andrea Phipps and Hannah Streck; 2 great grandsons, Alexander and Andrew; sister, Yvonne Olson; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 28th at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 4311 San Jacinto, Dallas, TX 75204. Memorials in Roy’s memory may be made to the Emanuel Food Pantry or the charity of your choice.
