Rtd. Col. Doyne King Martin's Obituary
Born June 2, 1922 in Ash Flat, AR; passed away November 16, 2008 in Plano, TX. Doyne retired as a Colonel from the US Army, serving in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He was a four time Army Legion of Merit recipient. Doyne is survived by his wife, Shirley Martin; daughter, Kathleen Cypert and husband Tom; son, Stephen Martin and wife Judy; sisters, Carmalita Ferguson, Carolyn Bowers, and Linda Thompson; brothers, Robert Martin, Warran Martin, and Gary Martin; six grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm, Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Restland Funeral Home. A service will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at First Presbyterian Church, 1500 Jupiter Road, Plano, TX 75074.
