Honey it’s been 7 months since you left and it seems like yesterday. I miss you so much how my life has changed. I miss having you by my side spending my day here at home with you. Missing you laying next to me in bed at night. I was not ready for this. I’m great full to God for His strength and peace. I’m also great full that you are not hurting anymore. You were such an active man but the last few months you were here you spent mostly sitting in the recliner because it was hard for you to walk because of the knee pain. Now you’re in the presence of our Lord Jesus whole again and I’m waiting for the day we will be together praising the Lord. Always in my mind and present in my heart. Love and miss you so much.
My Heart is broken for the sudden loss of my Tio Ruben. My condolences to Tia Yoli, Rachel, Carlos, Chrissy, and little Ruben. My heart aches for my mother who was very close to her Little Brother. In all my years of growing up, I will always remember the many road trips we took during the summer, from CC to Dallas to spend time with my Tios and cousins. We always spent the nights at Uncle Rubens. My parents and tio Ruben and Tia Yoli would stay up late talking away, laughing, arguing, and reminiscing. I always loved our road trips. I will always remember Tio Rubens loud voice and infectious laughter. He always had something to say and even when he seemed upset is was just his natural tone of voice. Rest in Peace Tio. You ARE loved and will forever be missed. Please watch over my mother as she watched over you. Even though we could not be there in person, know our hearts we are grieving with you all. Ruben, you came into our family over 48 years ago and with that we made and shared so many memories full of jokes, laughter, definitely food, along with times of sadness, sharing and even crying together! I remember Noelia, Nelson, Yolanda, You, Charlie and me would play putt-putt all being newlyweds and having a great time! Also the trips you and Yolanda took with Charlie and me to Branson enjoying the shows and the Colorado trip and years later laughing about how someone got into the wrong bed. We had good family times during holidays with plenty of hugs, kisses and always with a lot of joy and love! So proud of you my brother for all the work you did on my house through the years. I even share memories of our work together at Kodak...what a life we've shared but most important was when we all came to know JESUS and we all joined the same church where we attended in our younger years with all our babies! We all grew old together but we have all been so blessed to have had each other. So Ruben I will miss you but you will always remain a part in my life and in my heart! The LORD with HIS outstretched arms now holds you ever so tightly safe and secure for all eternity.You finished life's race, worked hard all your life now rest in Peace my Brother...l love You, Mary Wesley
