Ruben M. Delgado's Obituary
Ruben M. Delgado, born January 13, 1945, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2024, at the age of 79. Born to Fidencio Delgado and Genoveva Delgado, Ruben lived a life full of love, laughter, and dedication.
Ruben was married to the love of his life, Corina Delgado, for 59 wonderful years. Together, they raised three beautiful children who were the light of his life. Known for his beautiful personality and lovable goofball nature, Ruben had a knack for telling the best jokes and lighting up every room he entered. He never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went.
A hardworking man, Ruben dedicated 48 years of his life as a lineman with Oncor, where his commitment and work ethic were admired by all who knew him. His love for his family was boundless, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
Ruben had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, finding joy in hunting and fishing. He also had a profound love for music, which brought him great comfort and happiness throughout his life. He was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers, always cheering them on with enthusiasm.
Ruben is survived by loving wife Corina Delgado, his brothers Fidencio and Henry Delgado, his daughters Arlene Ingram (Jay Ingram) and Riza Gomez (Rick Gomez), and his son Roger Delgado. He also leaves behind his grandchildren Sydney Delgado, Trace Ingram, Delaney Delgado, and Hayden Ingram, as well as his only great-granddaughter Emerson Avila.
Ruben’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
