Ruby Belle Berryman's Obituary
Ruby Berryman, 84, was born on November 11, 1932 to Chester Harding and Anna Nona Yeager Harding in Neillsville, Wisconsin. She passed away on November 2, 2017 in Forney, Texas.Preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, W.A. Berryman, Dallas.Sons and daughters in-law Michael Berryman, Dennis and Lorie Berryman, Ann Berryman, Kay Berryman; grandchildren Jason, Allison, Isaac; Great-Grandchild Oliver; Brother Chester Harding – Beloit, Wis.; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.She was employed at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 23 years and retired in December of 1990. She was a former member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where she served as President of the Lutheran Church Women for 3 terms, Parish Secretary, Sunday school teacher, Sunday school Secretary and a member of the adult choir. She introduced the new LCA curriculum in her church and taught a Leader Training course for Good Shepherd Lutheran. She also served as a member of the Evangelical Committee and was evangelism coordinator for an evangelism mission held at her church. She had served as a member of the Christian Services Committee, Christian education and hospitality committees and was director of the vacation church school for her church for 2 years.Active in civic and community affairs, Mrs. Berryman formerly served on the Robert E. Lee elementary school PTA where she was a member of the Department of Public Welfare Committee. She served as an assistant Den Mother for the Cub Scouts for several years, and was a volunteer worker for community drives for the Heart Fund, March of Dimes, and Muscular Dystrophy in the past. She was also a volunteer worker at Baylor Hospital where she served in the Chaplain’s office, Public Affairs office, Children’s ward, and Maternity Orientation. She also donated time to “Reading for the Blind”. She was a member of the Order of Gregg Artists and Artistic Typists which she maintained for many years.Funeral services will be held at Restland Wildwood Chapel with Pastor Kevin officiating. Wednesday, November 8, 2017, 10:00AM.Pallbearers: Jason Berryman, Honorary pallbearer Isaac Berryman, Mark Cason, Dave Cook, David England, Mason England and Chris Hearon.
