Mrs Ruby Jewel Brooks from Montague, Texas passed away peacefully in Bowie, Texas on October 13,2019. She was 88 years old.Ruby (Walker) Brooks was born on February 7, 1931 to her parents Jessee L. Walker and Minnie (Moore) Walker in Sunset, Texas. She enjoyed fishing, camping, sewing and crotchet. Ruby was preceded in death by her daughter, Rosemarie Brooks Voorheese; parents: Jessee L. Walker and Minnie Ola Walker and sister, Billie Luster. She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Brooks of Montague, TX; sister, Reba Hayes of Gilmer, TX; granddaughters: Alisa Harner and husband Greg of Fort Worth, TX, Sherri Davis and husband, Tom of Montague, TX; six great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. There will be a service held for Mrs. Ruby Jewel Brooks on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 3:30 pm. in The Chapel of the Wildwood at Restland Memorial Park. The Family will receive guests prior to the funeral service in the Chapel of the Wildwood from 2:30pm – 3:30 pm.
