Ruby Delores Schenck Cotton's Obituary
Ruby Delores Schenck Cotton, 83 years of age, of Wylie, Texas She was born November 24, 1938, in Izard County, Arkansas to Leith and Lula Schenck. She passed away on October 2, 2022. She married Sidney Ray Cotton on May 31, 1958, in Wichita, Kansas. Ruby is remembered for her love of family, her devotion to her faith, her dedication to her 59-year nursing career, and her compassion for others.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Yvonne Cotton Renner; father, Leith Schenck; mother, Lula Riggs; stepfather, Jess (Connie) Riggs; former husband, Sidney Ray Cotton; brothers, Roy Schenck and Ronnie Schenck; and sisters, Evelyn Baker and Joyce Lehman.
Ruby is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Michael Russell of Garland, Texas; son-in-law, Edward Renner, Jr. of Garland, Texas; grandsons Edward (Tres) Renner, III and Phillip Renner, both of Garland, Texas; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Phillip and Breanna Russell, of Wylie, Texas; granddaughter, Stephanie Russell, of Wylie, Texas; great-grandchildren, Dylan Hamilton, Gage Russell, Rylie Russell, all of Wylie, Texas, and Luna Renner, of Garland, Texas; brother, Boyce Schenck and wife, Nancy of Willis, Texas; sisters, Bevelyn Miller of Enid, Oklahoma, Bonnie Barton and husband, Bill of Derby, Kansas; Charlotte Terrill and husband, Mike of Goddard, Kansas; and numerous relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 5:00 pm, at Wylie Church of Christ, 901 S. Ballard Ave., Wylie, Texas 75098.
