Ruby Lee Chambliss Francis Passed away on November 11, 2013 in Garland, Texas. Ruby Lee Chambliss Francis was born November 5, 1922, in Paris, Texas to John Earl Chambliss and Robertie Lucille Allen. Reared by her maternal grandparents, Joel Wesley Allen and Annie Eliza Hunter. Survivors include her daughter, Nelda Landrum; grandchildren, Kenny Gossett and Jeff Gossett and wife, Alicia; great grandchildren, Wesley, Miranda, and Judson Gossett; niece, Lillie Corder and many other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, H. Albert Francis, and daughter, Ruby Irene Francis. Ruby was many things: a devoted wife, wonderful mother, generous grandmother, special great grandmother, loving aunt, and dear friend. She graduated from East Texas State University with a BS and MLS and was employed as a teacher and librarian by Dallas ISD for 33 years. She will be missed by her family and friends and will forever hold a place of honor and endearment in their hearts and memories. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 13, 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 9:30 AM Thursday, November 14, at Restland Memorial Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Paris, Texas.
