Born on October 29, 1924 in Dallas, TX and passed away on January 1, 2008 in Wills Point, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Bert (Son) Martin, her parents, 2 sisters, her brother, and infant granddaughter. She is survived by her daughters, Charlotte Simmons and Joan Carlton; son, Charles E. Martin, Sr.; 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. She retired from Krogers Grocery Store after 20 years. She was a member of the Eastern Stars, and of Fireside Drive Baptist Church for over 50 years. Ruby loved to sew and make Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls.
