Rubye Isabelle Campbell's Obituary
CAMPBELL, Rubye Isabelle was born in Dallas, Texas on September 10, 1925 and went to be with her Lord and Savior June 26, 2014. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Doug Campbell, her son Phil Campbell and granddaughter Candice Campbell. She was married to her high school sweetheart at seventeen and they had a beautiful life together for 59 years. Rubye is survived by her daughter Beverly Moss, son-in-law Norvell Moss and 3 grandsons Rob, Richard and Rex Fryhover and granddaughter-in-law Adela Fryhover and 3 great grandchildren, MayCee, Cole and Juliana Fryhover. Rubye Campbell was a grand lady with many talents but her family was the most important aspect of her life, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked tirelessly with her husband as a bookkeeper for the family business of Campbell Rogers Office Supply, while also being a full-time mother and homemaker. At the age of 40, Rubye began a professional TV commercial career and print work. At the same time she started an acting career at local Dallas theatres, including a starring role in Steel Magnolias. She was a member of several dancing troupes, including the Dallas Dazzlers and Dance Traxx up until she reached the age of 75. She was also a member of The Contemporary Chorale singing group. She loved the old Turner Classic movies, music from the Big Band era and loved to travel extensively. Rubye had incredible energy and love for life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 12:00 noon at the Abby Chapel, Restland, Dallas, Texas. Visitation at Abby Chapel will be held at 11:00-11:45. A catered reception for family and friends will be held afterwards from 1:00-3:00 on the premises at Restland.
