I just learned by accident that Rufus had passed away – what a loss for friends, family and especially his dear Mary Frances. Rufus was my first "real" job out of college, working for him at College Street Office Center in McKinney. He was the kindest, funniest most sincere person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. He had a knack for making people smile. He completely ruined me for all other bosses – in the twenty plus years since, I have measured everyone else I have ever worked for using him as a standard – and all others have always fallen short. And now that I am a boss, I have always tried to treat everyone as he treated me – with respect and kindness. You were a wonderful example to me Rufus and a beautiful person. The world will miss you.
