Run Tav's Obituary
Run Tav was born on January 1, 1949 in Cambodia and took his last breath on July 6, 2020 at 6:47pm (formal time of death at 8:14pm). He passed peacefully at the age of 72 in his eldest daughter’s home, Chinda Tav, in Kansas City, MO.
Run was preceded in death by his wife, Chan Sath So. He is survived by his children; Chinda Tav, Sochita Majumder, Socheat Tav, his son in laws Cuong Nguyen and Sandeep Majumder, his daughter in law My Tien Huynh, and his grandchildren Adrianna Marie Guerra, Leah Madison Tav, Evan Mason Tav, Sofia Michelle Tav, Mia Majumder and Jaden Majumder.
Run left Cambodia and came to the United States around 1982-1983 in search for a better life for his family. He had always worked hard and was a big believer in saving. With that, he has been able to provide the best life for his three children. He was always an active person and excelled in his favorite sport, Volleyball. He loved to travel the world, build and plant things, spending time with his family. He was an amazing cook and loves his blue crab, salmon sashimi, oysters and his Mogen David wine.
Run had the biggest heart and is well-loved by many people in his community. His hugs and smiles are so warming to where it takes any worries away. He loves to give back to charity when he travels to his second home in Cambodia and is extremely loved by the people there. He will truly be missed!
Visitation will be Friday, July 17, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the Memorial Chapel at Restland Funeral Home.
