Russell Lester Herring, Jr's Obituary
Surrounded by his family, Russell Lester Herring Jr (Sonny) bd 07/17/1935 peacefully left this world for his new home in Heaven on June 2, 2016. A devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, and a dedicated Elder at the Richardson East Church of Christ, his life’s ministry focused on developing meaningful, Christ-centered relationships and recognizing God’s amazing gift of Grace. He lived as he spoke; with the purest conviction of God’s love. In this world, he also gave service to a 30 year career at Collins Radio/Rockwell Intl and later, Schlumberger. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley Smith Herring; daughters Gayla Anthony and Sherry Null; son-in-law David Null; and granddaughters, Jacquelyn, Riley, Tatum, and Hannah. Services will be held at RE Church (CARE) 1504 Campbell Rd, Richardson, at 2pm On Monday June 6, 2016. Family Visitation 1:00pm-2:00pm. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
