I GREW UP IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD WHERE MR RUSS RESIDED. I WAS AN AVIATION BUFF AND HE ALWAYS WAS GENEROUS WITH HIS TIME AND ENCOURAGED ME TO FOLLOW MY DREAMS.
SO SORRY TO HEAR OF HIS LOSS.

Condolences to Russell’s family. I grew up in the same small town in mid America. Russell and his family were an integral part of the small town. Russell was a year behind me in school, but he was a very active participant in many parts of high school life. I know he will be greatly missed by his family.

Oh dear…too young to pass. Russell was a high school friend and neighbor. I remember Russ as a good student, athlete and singer. We were tennis partners who won the county high school doubles championship in about 1962. We also took classes together at good old Sheldon High School. Since we were next door neighbors when my family moved to Sheldon (when I was 12 and he was 11), we shared many experiences, especially during the summer months. I got to know Jack, Louise and Fred well. My best memories of Russ were during our time together singing. In choir, we put together a quartet that performed many times in the local areas. We both left Sheldon to attend engineering school, he to Purdue and me at U of IL. Fond memories....
