Ruth Stratton Caulfield Gilmore's Obituary
GILMORE, RUTH STRATTON CAULFIELD was born on November 24, 1912, in Gloster, Mississippi. She entered Eternal Rest on May 15, 2014 in Plano, Texas. She was known to her grandchildren, family and friends as “Me-Mom”. She loved being with all of her family, and still is a member of Oak Hills Presbyterian Church in San Antonio, TX. She was involved in all activities at the church. She loved to crochet, play tennis and cards, bowl, and square dance. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Luther Gilmore of Plano, TX; (previously of San Antonio, TX); her parents, Charles Van Huff Caulfield and Mary Stratton Caulfield; and sisters, Hazel Brueck and Lillian Jones of Mississippi, and nieces and nephew. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Donald Wayne and Susanne Lively Gilmore; daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Elaine and James Edward Slaughter; granddaughters, Deborah Sue Kuykendall, Jennifer Leigh Havard, Kimberley Dawn Lauve, Tanya Leigh Dorsett, Amy Susanne Dennis, Sheilah Elaine McTee and Melissa Dawn Gilmore Lackey also survived by great grandchildren, Derek James and Ashley Nicole Williams, Hannah Stratton and Charles Robert Dorsett, III (Trey), Andrew James, Jonathan Thomas and Joshua Alexander Havard, Jake Tyler and Bethany Elaine McTee, Grant Matthew and Kate Susanne Dennis, Alexandra Susanne Lackey; Craig, Jerry, Cristy Kuykendall and nieces and nephews. She also has 12 great great-grandchildren. Viewing will be at 9:00 AM and service at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park.
