Ruth Adelia Christian's Obituary
Ruth Adelia Christian went home to be with our Lord on June 19, 2015. She was born on November 13, 1931. At the age of 83 years old she was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Ruth had a love and passion for all music, especially singing, she was a member of a traveling quartet while attending Lon Morris Jr. College where she received an Associate’s degree, an active member of the Sweet Adeline’s Choral Group and church choirs throughout her life. She will be remembered because of her sweet, compassionate spirit, love of family, and church. Ruth was blessed with outstanding creative talents as a seamstress and with arts and crafts. Her love for genealogy work brought her many years of joy as she documented eight generations of her family history. Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Johnnie Gene Christian, Sr., two brothers, Willis and Robert Edmiston and her sister Maryann Thomason. She is survived by: Ruann Rae Moody- daughter Johnnie Gene Christian, Jr.-son Kenneth Wayne Moody-son-in-law Debbie Dean Christian-daughter-in-law Grandchildren: Ryan Moody Erinn Moody Landon Moody Johnnie Gene “Trey” Christian, III Great-grandson: Maddox Leo Moody Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, June 22, 2015 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will take place at 10:00 am, Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243.
