Ruth Marie Floyd's Obituary
FLOYD, RUTH MARIE PREWITT born April 3, 1932 in Aquilla, TX and passed away May 14, 2013 in Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Ernest Floyd, Jr. Ruth is survived by her son, Russell Floyd and wife,Terri; daughter, Anne Marie Coleman; 7 grandchildren; brother, Bill Prewitt and wife, Joanne; sister-in-law, LaVoyce Snow and husband, Virgil and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a lifelong educator working for 50 years plus in the Mesquite ISD. Ruth was also a member of the First Baptist Church Richardson and a former member of Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church in Dallas. Visitation will be from 6:00PM – 8:00PM, Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 2:00PM, Friday, May 17, 2013 at First Baptist Church Richardson, 1001 N. Central Expwy, Richardson, TX 75080. Memorials may be made to Walter E. Floyd Elementary, 3025 Hickory Tree, Balch Springs, TX 75180.
