Ruth Jean Harless' Obituary
Momma Ruth passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on December 1, 2014. She was born January 5, 1924 in Fort Worth, Texas to Jim and Carrie Wilkinson. She lived an adventurous life from growing up on a farm during the depression to working in Washington DC during WWII. She met the love of her life, Fred S. Harless in 1946. He was a student of Law at SMU and after a whirlwind romance, they were married in Dec. 1946. They had two daughters, Rexanne and Stacey. Ruth was a long time member of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church. Ruthie will be missed by her family friends and neighbors. Survivors include daughters, Rexanne Harless of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas and Stacey Leigh and Paul Feather of Richardson, Texas. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Judge Fred S. Harless. A graveside service for Ruth Harless will be held at 1:30 PM, Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Restland Memorial Park. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stewpot or charity of your choice.
